Job Summary



The Senior HR Generalist will be responsible for managing and executing Human Resources & Administrative functions at a strategic level, working closely with leadership to support the overall HR operations and facilities management within our office expansion in Bogotá, Colombia. This role ensures compliance with labor laws and company policies, enhances workforce efficiency, and identifies opportunities to streamline HR and administrative processes. The Senior HR Generalist plays a key role in performance management, employee engagement, workforce planning, training and development, policy implementation, and facilities administration. Additionally, this position provides strategic guidance to leadership, supervises HR staff, and oversees the implementation of HR initiatives that support business goals and enhance the employee experience.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • HR Operations & Compliance

    • Lead the 60-day evaluation process, ensuring alignment with leadership expectations, maintaining trackers, and providing insights for continuous improvement.

    • Oversee the warning and performance improvement processes (PIPs), ensuring compliance, strategic alignment, and proactive measures to address trends.

    • Manage terminations, including approvals, coordination with management, compliance assurance, and equipment return processes.

    • Conduct R-Y-G meetings, developing action plans to address performance and engagement issues.

    • Ensure timely execution of performance management, including training, tracking performance reviews, analyzing data trends, and leading salary planning discussions.

    • Oversee internal promotion and recruitment processes, ensuring fairness, transparency, and alignment with workforce planning.

    • Conduct audits and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws and company policies.

    Talent Development & Employee Engagement

    • Monitor and report on coaching and 1:1 sessions between leaders and employees.

    • Track and analyze training hours and employee development initiatives.

    • Develop and monitor career development plans, ensuring growth opportunities for high-potential employees.

    • Design and implement engagement programs, conduct biannual engagement surveys, and analyze turnover trends to propose retention strategies.

    • Facilitate new hire orientation and ensure smooth onboarding experiences.

    Organizational Design & Workforce Planning

    • Maintain and regularly review the organizational chart, forecasting potential changes and ensuring structural efficiency.

    • Provide strategic input on account additions/removals and team ratio optimizations.

    • Manage all job movements within the assigned service line, including promotions, salary adjustments, schedule changes, and account transitions.

    • Conduct focus group sessions and leadership performance discussions to identify key workforce challenges.

    Leadership & Team Development

    • Supervise and mentor Junior HR Team members, ensuring effective execution of their roles and professional growth.

    • Conduct monthly 1:1 meetings with managers and directors, focusing on coaching, development, and performance.

    • Be the key HR contact for the assigned service lines, providing guidance and support on all HR-related matters.

    • Handle complex employee relations issues, conduct investigations, and ensure resolution of sensitive cases.

    Administrative & Facilities Management

    • Oversee office facilities administration, ensuring smooth operations related to office space, equipment, and vendor management.

    • Coordinate office maintenance requests, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.

    • Support occupational health and safety initiatives, ensuring compliance with workplace regulations.

    • Manage relationships with external service providers, including office supplies, cleaning, and maintenance vendors.

    • Provide emergency support and coordination as needed for office-related incidents.

    HR Systems & Reporting

    • Conduct regular HRIS and payroll audits to ensure data integrity.

    • Utilize company intranet, email, and internal platforms to communicate policies and updates.

    • Manage PTO balances and track employee leave requests.

    • Provide insights and reports to senior leadership on key HR metrics, trends, and workforce planning recommendations.

    Additional Duties

    • Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, escalating complex issues appropriately.

    • Maintain knowledge of HR trends, best practices, and regulatory changes, ensuring continuous improvement of HR processes.

    • Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to strategic HR initiatives and supporting business objectives.

     

Skills and Experience

 

 

  • Experience: 3+ years of Human Resources and labor law experience.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Psychology, or Human Resources.

  • Certifications: PHR (Professional in Human Resources) or SHRM-CP (Society for Human Resource Management - Certified Professional) preferred.

  • English Proficiency: B2+ (Oral and written communication at 80% or higher).

  • Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • HR Knowledge: Extensive experience with HR policies, procedures, and compliance with labor laws and regulations.

  • Organizational & Analytical Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple priorities, conduct audits, and analyze workforce data.

  • People-Oriented Approach: Empathetic, resourceful, and able to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.

  • Problem-Solving: Ability to anticipate challenges, implement proactive solutions, and work effectively under pressure.

  • Team Collaboration: Must be a team player with the ability to interact with staff at all levels of the company.

  • Independence: Capable of achieving targets with minimal supervision.

  • Shared Services/Outsourcing Experience: Prior experience in a shared service center or outsourcing operation of at least 100 people is a plus.
