Job Summary

The primary purpose of this role is to provide support for employment compliance and regulations (federal, state, local) through the HR case system and review of related data. This includes execution, problem resolution and escalation support. Responds to moderately complex employee inquiries regarding HR compliance issues. Additionally, this role will be responsible for executing and monitoring audits programs to ensure HR compliance. As such, this role must exercise a significant amount of discretion in handling and dealing with sensitive and confidential matters as well as data related to Lowe's and its current and former associates. This role will partner with CoEs, leaders, HR business partners, etc. to resolve escalated issues, requests or concerns.

Responsibilities

·    Provides support through telephonic, electronic (email, text, chat), or paper-based interaction channels for current and former Lowe’s employees, regarding HR Compliance related programs, policies, procedures, issues and questions.

·    Supports all of HR policies and ensures alignment with all external regulations and internal company compliance requirements.

·    Acquires data from primary and/or secondary data sources, maintains data in appropriate systems, and evaluates and monitors data.

·    Identifies trends to make recommendations for opportunities that would improve efficiencies and compliance.

·    Discreetly handles sensitive employee reports or information.

·    Performs routine audits to monitor compliance with employment and regulatory ethical standards. Escalates issues as necessary to minimize risk.

Experience in an HR Generalist, Employee Relations or a related role conducting complaint investigations related to Federal, State, Local employment and labor laws for multi-site organization Basic knowledge of workplace complaint investigations, union avoidance, employee advocacy and EEO compliance Demonstrate a competent understanding of HR processes, procedures, controls, regulations, and compliance requirements for at least one functional area; basic familiarity with at least one other area desirable Excellent verbal and written communications skills Ability to establish trust and credibility Able to work effectively at all s in the organization

Preferred

 

Experience using ServiceNow or other case management tool
