IT Applications Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our company as a Business Applications Manager. As the Business Applications Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of various business applications used across the organization. Your primary objective will be to ensure that our business applications align with the strategic goals of the company and enhance operational efficiency.

Application Management & Strategy:

• Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of business applications, ensuring they align with organizational goals.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to assess software needs and recommend solutions.
• Ensure applications are optimized for performance, scalability, and security.
• Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and best practices for application use.

Project & Team Leadership:

• Lead a team of application specialists, BI analysts, and data engineers.
• Drive projects related to application upgrades, integrations, BI enhancements, and new implementations.
• Coordinate with IT, vendors, and end users to ensure successful project execution.
• Manage budgets, timelines, and resources for application-related initiatives.

Support & Troubleshooting:

• Provide leadership in diagnosing and resolving application and data related issues.
• Work closely with IT support teams to ensure high availability and performance.
• Establish and oversee application monitoring, maintenance, and disaster recovery plans.

BI & Data Warehouse Management:

• Lead and manage the BI and Data Warehouse team, ensuring the effective collection, storage, and reporting of business data.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of data models, ETL processes, and reporting dashboards.
• Collaborate with business units to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and create actionable insights from data.
• Ensure data governance, integrity, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Evaluate and implement modern analytics tools, including AI-driven insights and automation.
• Work with IT and business stakeholders to optimize data visualization and reporting solutions for decision-makers.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management:

• Manage relationships with software vendors and cloud service partners.
• Negotiate contracts and licensing agreements to ensure cost-effective solutions.
• Act as a liaison between business units and IT to translate requirements into technical solutions.

Security & Compliance:

• Ensure applications and data comply with security best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Implement access controls, data protection measures, and compliance audits.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Change Management & Adoption:

• Lead organizational change initiatives related to applications and BI system implementations, upgrades, and process improvements.
• Develop and implement change management plans, including communication strategies, stakeholder engagement, training, and support.
• Collaborate with business leaders and end users to identify potential impacts and resistance, and create mitigation strategies.
• Drive user adoption by ensuring solutions are intuitive, well-documented, and supported with proper training and resources.
• Measure the effectiveness of change efforts and adjust strategies based on feedback and adoption metrics.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
• 7+ years of experience in application management and IT leadership.
• Proven experience managing enterprise applications (e.g., ERP, CRM, HRIS, financial systems, BI tools).
• Strong background in BI and data warehousing technologies (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Snowflake, SQL, ETL tools).
• Strong understanding of business processes and their interaction with applications.
• In-depth knowledge of application development methodologies, integration techniques, and data management principles.
• Proficiency in project management, including planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into practical solutions.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong leadership abilities to drive application-related initiatives and manage a team.
• Knowledge of data privacy and security regulations, such as ISO27001 and HIPAA.
• Strong understanding of database technologies and how they work. Especially SQL.
• Must have the technical ability to develop reports for business applications being supported.
