Job Summary

A proficient Atlassian Administrator with strong expertise in managing and optimizing Jira (some Confluence) in complex enterprise environments. Skilled in workflow customization, permission schemes, automation rules, plugin management, and system integrations. Experienced in supporting agile teams, ensuring platform performance, enforcing governance, and delivering user training and documentation. Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to align tools with business processes and improve operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and support Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence across multiple projects and teams.

  • Design, configure, and maintain custom workflows, screens, fields, and permissions in Jira.

  • Manage Jira user permissions, project roles, and group memberships.

  • Develop and maintain dashboards, filters, and reports to meet stakeholder needs.

  • Evaluate and implement Jira plugins/add-ons and integrations with third-party tools.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective Jira solutions.

  • Perform routine audits, system maintenance, and upgrades.

  • Provide user support and training on Atlassian tools.

  • Ensure adherence to best practices and maintain system documentation.

  • Monitor and resolve performance or functional issues related to the Atlassian platform.

Skills and Experience

Required:

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience administering Jira and Confluence in a professional environment.

  • Strong understanding of Jira configuration elements: workflows, custom fields, permission schemes, issue types, and screen schemes.

  • Experience with Jira Service Management and customer portals.

  • Familiarity with scripting using Jira automation, JQL, or ScriptRunner (Groovy is a plus).

  • Experience with user management and Atlassian Access or SSO integrations.

  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical configurations.

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken) , B2+ Level 

 

Preferred:

  • Experience with other Atlassian tools like Bitbucket, Trello, or Opsgenie.

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).

  • Atlassian certification (ACP-610, ACP-100, or similar) is a strong plus.

  • Experience with cloud and on-premise (Data Center) deployments.
