Job Summary

The individual will be responsible for ensuring that all accounting transactions are processed efficiently and effectively, in accordance with established service levels and other contractual requirements. The individual will be responsible for related tasks associated with accounting transactions to journals, ledgers and other records. Also will be responsible for the balance sheet reconciliations, will work directly with the Staff and Senior Accountant managing and resolving complex issues as well as following up on open items for the accounts assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial statements.
  • Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating accounting policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with IFRS-GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
  • Respond to inquiries from other departments and external parties regarding accounting-related matters.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior accounting clerks.
  • Participate in special projects, such as audits, budgeting, and forecasting, as assigned by management.

Skills and Experience

General Requirements

  • English - Spanish Language (Oral and writing B2+ or above).
  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in accounting or finance.
  • Technical high school degree in accounting or minimum of one year of college education in the accounting career.
  • Strong knowledge of IRFS - GAAP and other accounting principles and standards.
  • Experience with accounting software, such as Oracle, Netsuite or SAP, is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.


Additional Requirements (Nice to have):

  • Student of Bachelor's degree in accounting field.
