As a Benefits Specialist I, you will play a pivotal role in managing client relationships and administering various aspects of employee benefits. From assisting with disability claims to ensuring smooth Open Enrollment processes, your responsibilities will encompass a wide array of tasks aimed at supporting both the employer and the employees. Your meticulous attention to detail and proactive approach will be essential in delivering high-quality service and ensuring compliance with benefit regulations.
• Client Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding benefit-related inquiries and issues, always maintaining a professional and responsive demeanor.
• Disability Claims Assistance: Assist employees with the disability claims process, providing guidance, collecting necessary documentation, and liaising with insurance providers to facilitate timely claim resolution.
• Open Enrollment Support: Collaborate with the HR team to coordinate and execute the Open Enrollment process, including communication with employees, enrollment system management, and resolving any enrollment-related issues.
• Eligibility Management: Ensure accurate eligibility determination for new hires and employees undergoing status changes, updating benefit records accordingly.
• Qualified Life Events (QLE) Processing: Handle Qualified Life Events promptly and accurately, facilitating necessary changes to employees' benefit elections.
• Electronic Enrollment Management: Post electronic enrollments in Prism or relevant enrollment systems, verifying data accuracy and completeness.
• Benefit Adjustment Creation: Generate benefit adjustments as needed, ensuring that employee benefit information is updated accurately in the system.
a) Personal Competencies
• Previous experience in benefits administration or a related HR role (US Based).
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and employees.
• Proficiency in HRIS systems, particularly Prism/Clientspace or similar benefits administration platforms.
• Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and learn new processes or technologies as needed.
• Experience in Excel.

b) Technical Competencies
i) Academic
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or other relevant degree OR 4 years experience in lieu of degree
• English Level of a C1
ii) Experience
• 1-3 years experience in Benefits Administration US Based
