Job Summary

The MS 365 Engineer is responsible for the technical and operational aspects of Microsoft 365 (MS 365) environment, including ownership of services, creation of standard operating procedures, documentation, and process automation. This role involves providing third-level support for MS 365 services, maintaining high availability, and driving automation and best practices of these systems to enhance service consistency and customer experience. 

Responsibilities

  • Provide third level support for the MS 365 Platform (Exchange Online, MS Entra ID, Teams, Teams Voice, One Drive, SharePoint and Intune) 
  • Offer subject matter expertise in Exchange Online, MS Entra ID, Teams, SharePoint and Intune. 
  • Collaborate with support personnel to design solutions that meet business requirements. 
  • Own the technical operations of the MS 365 environments, including design, implementation, maintenance, administration, and support.  
  • Create standard operating procedures, documentation, and scripts for process automation and reporting.  
  • Provide consultation and guidance to team members to improve customer service.  
  • Review current configurations and standards to recommend and implement enhancements.  
  • Ensure high availability and optimal performance with daily operational support. 
  • Work on tactical technical issues, troubleshooting, and resolution.  
  • Assess, implement, and support M365 security best practices. 

Skills and Experience

Experience:  

  • 4+ years working experience in related field, with proven experience with large, complex Microsoft server-based environments.  
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft server operating systems, MS Entra ID, MS 365 suite and Microsoft Intune 
  • Experience creating documentation, including standard operational procedures. 
  • Participate in 24x7 on call support rotation.  

Education:  

  • Computer Science, Engineering, IT bachelor's degree or equivalent working experience. 

Technical Skills:  

  • Proficiency in PowerShell for MS 365 and scripting languages such as VB script, BAT, etc.  
  • Excellent communication skills. 

Required Technical Proficiencies (Minimum One) 

  • MS 365 Certified: Messaging Administrator 
  • MS 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator 
  • MS 365 Certified: Teams Administrator 
  • MS 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator 

Desired Technical Proficiency 

  • MS 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator 

 

Language Skills:  

  • English Level B2+
