The Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) at Auxis serves as the technical bridge between AI platform capabilities and client operational environments. This role is embedded in client engagements to design, configure, integrate, and continuously optimize AI-powered solutions across enterprise workflows, operating within the ITO practice and working directly alongside client technical teams to ensure successful deployment and adoption.
The FDE is a practitioner first: a hands-on technical implementer and enablement specialist who serves as the dedicated Subject Matter Expert for both the Anthropic Claude ecosystem and the Workiva platform. This role is specifically scoped to support financial reporting, SOX 404 compliance, and external audit workflows. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in deploying Claude within regulated, audit-sensitive environments and configuring Workiva for SEC disclosure and ICFR documentation — and, critically, the ability to bridge both platforms to drive automation and accuracy across the financial close and reporting cycle.
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience working with Anthropic Claude solutions, including:
Claude.ai (advanced prompt engineering, custom instructions, artifacts, and enterprise workflows)
Claude Cowork (automation workflows, task management, collaboration, and multi-agent environments)
Claude Code (agentic coding, code generation, automation, and integration into operational workflows)
Strong understanding of:
Anthropic Claude API
System prompts and context management
Model selection and cost-performance tradeoffs
Multi-turn conversation design and AI agent orchestration
MCP (Model Context Protocol)
AI safety, governance, and compliance considerations

REST APIs and system integrations
Workflow automation platforms (n8n, Make, Zapier, or similar)
Python or JavaScript/Node.js scripting
OAuth 2.0, API authentication, and SSO concepts

Demonstrated experience designing and implementing workflows that combine Claude and Workiva, including:
AI-assisted drafting and review of financial disclosures
Automated variance commentary generation
SOX evidence collection and audit workflow support
AI governance and audit-ready documentation practices
Traceable and compliant AI-assisted reporting processes
3+ years of experience in technology implementation, solutions engineering, systems integration, or IT consulting
