Job Summary

The Senior Consultant is responsible for providing professional business and technology consulting services as both an individual contributor and a project team member. This role provides subject matter expertise across Finance Transformation initiatives while developing high-quality client deliverables and supporting project execution.

The Senior Consultant will lead small project workstreams, conduct business process assessments, develop process improvement recommendations, facilitate client workshops, and support the implementation of operational and technology solutions. This role also contributes to the development of practice methodologies, tools, and reusable assets while mentoring junior consultants.

Responsibilities

Business Process Assessment & Solution Design

  • Provide subject matter expertise across Finance Transformation and Management Consulting engagements by identifying, developing, and delivering operational and technology solutions for clients.
  • Participate in business process and operational assessments, including documenting current-state processes, interviewing key client stakeholders, and evaluating existing operations.
  • Perform business analysis to capture current-state ("as-is") processes, document business requirements, identify operational challenges, and assess potential risks impacting client performance.
  • Research industry best practices, benchmark key performance indicators (KPIs), and evaluate market trends to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Develop future-state ("to-be") process designs and recommend operational improvements based on business requirements and leading practices.
  • Participate in internal control assessments, process reviews, and system implementation activities, including functional design, testing, and validation.
  • Support operational strategy, business requirements gathering, functional design, and technology implementation activities across client engagements.
  • Partner with project leadership and client stakeholders to design and implement practical, technology-enabled solutions that improve operational efficiency and business performance.

Project Delivery

  • Lead small project workstreams and manage assigned project activities, ensuring deliverables are completed on time and meet quality expectations.
  • Develop high-quality client deliverables, including process documentation, assessments, presentations, recommendations, and implementation plans.
  • Facilitate client meetings, process workshops, and working sessions to gather requirements, validate solutions, and communicate project progress.
  • Monitor assigned workstream activities, identify project risks, and escalate issues when appropriate.
  • Mentor junior consultants by providing guidance, coaching, and quality review of work products.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with client stakeholders, including senior management, by providing responsive, high-quality consulting services.
  • Communicate effectively with client teams throughout project engagements, providing regular updates, facilitating discussions, and ensuring alignment on project objectives.
  • Collaborate with project leadership to identify opportunities to improve client operations and enhance overall engagement success.
  • Contribute to a positive client experience through professionalism, responsiveness, and delivery excellence.

Practice Development

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Finance Transformation practice by developing reusable methodologies, templates, tools, and knowledge assets.
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, ERP capabilities, and Finance Transformation best practices to support innovation across client engagements.

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, Supply Chain, Economics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in management consulting or professional services, supporting external client engagements.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, Shared Services, or other operational business functions.
  • For native Spanish-speaking consultants, a B2+ proficiency in English, which is the required fluency for US client interviews and US documentation.
  • Experience leading small project workstreams or significant project deliverables within consulting engagements.
  • Strong knowledge of business process analysis, process documentation, process improvement, and operational transformation methodologies.
  • Experience with Finance & Accounting processes, including Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), Record-to-Report (R2R), or related business functions.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with the ability to analyze complex data and develop practical business recommendations.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and facilitation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with client stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced consulting environment.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across client and internal teams.
  • US Valid Visa or Passport for travel to the US and other multiple locations throughout Latin America as required (cross training, operations and/or project work)- up to 50% travel may be required
