Job Summary

The Data & Analytics function is dedicated to designing and delivering robust global data platforms that enable business solutions and high-quality analytics. The Data Analyst is responsible for interpreting and analyzing data from complex sources like ERP, HCM, and CRM to support data-driven decision making and ensure the accuracy, integrity, and usability of information within the organization’s Data Lakehouse. This hands-on role focuses on requirements translation, source-to-target mapping, dimensional modeling support, ELT/ETL validation, testing support and data quality. Working closely with Business teams, Data Architects, and Engineers, the Data Analyst transforms business processes into well-structured, secure, and reliable data models and pipelines, enabling the Data Lakehouse to serve as a trusted foundation for analytics, reporting and AI products.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to gather, validate, and clarify data and reporting requirements.
  • Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical requirement documents.
  • Develop comprehensive Source-to-Target Mapping (STTM/STM) documents capturing field-level data logic.
  • Create detailed Business Rules, Data Definitions, and Data Transformation documentation.
  •  Perform complete data lineage analysis across Snowflake, APIs, upstream sources, and reporting layers.
  • Assist in data modeling and design aligned with Medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold layer separation).
  • Conduct data profiling, validation, and reconciliation using Snowflake SQL.
  • Work with REST API data integrations, including reading API specifications, understanding payloads, and mapping to Snowflake tables.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, ETL/ELT developers, and QA to ensure accurate interpretation of the requirements.
  • Support UAT and resolve data-related gaps through iterative testing and validation.

Skills and Experience

Skills

 

  • English level B2+
  •  Proven experience with programming languages such as SQL and Python for data validation, profiling, reconciliation, and analytics.
  • Strong hands-on Snowflake experience is required, including:

o Ability to construct & optimize complex SQL queries

o Variant/JSON parsing

o Schema and stage understanding

o Performance analysis & troubleshooting

 

  • Working experience in Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold data layers) including mapping data flows across layers.
  •  Proven experience with API-based data ingestion (REST APIs, JSON/XML).
  •  Ability to interpret API documentation and create field mappings for Snowflake ingestion.
  •  Experience building Source-to-Target mapping documents and transformation rules.
  • Strong understanding of data lineage, metadata traceability, and impact analysis.
  •  Experience writing BRDs, FRDs, mapping documents, and business rule specifications.
  •  Effective communication skills with ability to work directly with business stakeholders.
  •  Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

 

Education / Professional Experience/ Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in computer science or information systems (or equivalent work experience).
  •  1 - 3 years of Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst experience in enterprise data environments.
  • Preferred: Experience in professional services, accounting industry, or client service/consultative technology roles.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT tools (Informatica, DBT).
  • Experience with BI/reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, Excel).
  • Experience with data modeling methodologies (Dimensional modeling, Data Marts, Data Warehousing, Star/Snowflake schema).
  •  Familiarity with cloud data platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Exposure to API testing tools (Postman, Swagger).
  • Agile/Scrum delivery exposure.
