In your role, you will be reconciling all clinic deposits, electronic and bank lockbox payments with source documents and a billing system to ensure all expected payments are accounted for.

The Insurance Verification Specialist is responsible for supporting all activities related to government logging and discrepancy analysis function which includes verifying the accuracy of calculated discounts and analyzing discrepancies to determine root cause and resolution steps.   As an Insurance Verification Specialist, you will review customer accounts and identify discrepancies between the expected cost of service and payer payment. The Collector is responsible for tracking accounts and resolving insurance and patient receivables.

The individual will be responsible for ensuring that all accounting transactions are processed efficiently and effectively, in accordance with established service levels and other contractual requirements. The individual will be responsible for related tasks associated with accounting transactions to journals, ledgers and other records. Will work directly with the Sr. Accounting Clerk and Staff Accountant managing and resolving issues as well as following up on open items for the accounts assigned.
